Making a statement enables you to do a number of things including, taking a position on divisive issues, to be counter intuitive, or even say something most will agree with.

Do you know why questions work so well?

People are literally conditioned to respond to questions because you have been doing this all your life.
You were taught you should answer questions.

Putting it All Together When Writing Email Openers
Don’t forget this important point. Somewhere in your email, your subject should be tied to your content.
This gives your reader a state of closure. If you don’t do this, you subconsciously keep feeling like they were left hanging.
Even worse is to make your message about something that isn’t in the subject line. Don’t do this!
